As the 2017 D. Scott Hudgens Humanitarian Award winner at the Gwinnett Chamber’s 69th Annual Dinner, Rotary Clubs of Gwinnett has been selected as the sole beneficiary of the Button Down Dash 5K/10K, which will be held August 5. This year a portion of the proceeds from the race will be donated to the Rotary Foundation’s End Polio Now Campaign and provide an opportunity for runners to participate in the Charity Challenge.
How the Charity Challenge Works: Participants, volunteers, sponsors and general supporters of the Button Down Dash will have an opportunity to donate and solicit donations for the Rotary Foundation. During the race’s registration process, runners and teams will have the option to make an online donation to the nonprofit. The registration platform will also allow participants to work on the nonprofit’s behalf to fundraise within their own personal network.
